Smoked Gouda Sausage Frittata

Smoked Gouda Sausage Frittata

Try your favorite Gilbert’s in a fritatta with seasonal vegetables. Serves 6-8.

Ingredients
  • 2 Gilbert’s Craft Sausages, sliced on the bias into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 12 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Whole Milk
  • 3/4 cup Smoked Gouda cheese
  • 1/2 Onion, medium, chopped
  • 1 bunch Broccoli rabe or Broccolini, chopped
Instructions
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Sautée onions in a cast-iron or oven-proof skillet on medium-high
  • When onions begin to caramelize, add sausages and broccoli, cook until broccoli is tender, about 10 minutes
  • In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk and 1/2 cup cheese and salt & pepper to taste
  • Reduce heat to low, add egg mixture to skillet
  • Heat about 10 minutes until edges are set
  • Add remaining cheese to top
  • Transfer to oven, heat about 5 minutes
  • Remove, let cool for a few minutes so frittata is easier to remove
