Tuscan Pasta Salad

Ingredients
  • One box of your favorite pasta (16 oz)
  • 4 links of Gilbert’s Tuscan Recipe Chicken Sausage
  • 1 small red pepper
  • 1/2 of a green pepper
  • 1 medium-sized carrot
  • 2 stalks of celery
  • 1 cup (more or less depending on preference) of your favorite Italian dressing
  • 2 tbsp salad seasoning
Instructions
  • Cook pasta per package instructions. Drain, rinse with cool water, and set aside.
  • While pasta cooks, cook up your sausage and prep all of your vegetables.
  • To cook sausage: simply remove sausages from individual wrappers and sauté in a pan on the stovetop for a few min. until warmed and lightly browned. Set aside.
  • To prep vegetables: dice peppers, grate carrot, and slice celery. Set aside.
  • Once the sausage cools, coin as shown above. Set aside.
  • Next, combine pasta with dressing and gently stir to coat.
  • Add in salad seasoning and again gently stir to coat.
  • Then to pasta add in all prepped veggies, coined sausages, and carefully stir to combine.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning and dressing as desired. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours prior to serving and enjoy! *If desired, top with additional seasoning just prior to serving.
