Fig & Feta Breakfast Sandwich
Jam on with this fig-forward breakfast.

Ingredients
- 1 Gilbert’s Fig & Feta Chicken Sausage
- 2 pieces thick-sliced bread
- Fig jam
- 2 eggs
- 1 slice cheese such as munster, fontina, or gouda
- butter
Instructions
- Cut sausages in half lengthwise and place in a skillet with a little cooking spray. Cook until brown and slightly crispy along the edges. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, scramble the two eggs. Set aside.
- Assemble breakfast sandwich: spread one slice of bread with fig jam, add cheese, egg, and the sausage.
- Add a little butter to the skillet and head over medium. Cook sandwich until both sides are golden brown and crispy. Enjoy.
