Bourbon Apple Sausage Waffles

The ultimate sweet + savory weekend brunch.

Ingredients
  • 2 Gilbert’s Bourbon Apple Chicken Sausages
  • 4 Eggs
  • Sriracha / hot sauce, to taste
  • Maple syrup, to taste

Waffle Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 Tbsp Baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp Butter, melted
Instructions
  • Heat Waffle Iron. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  • In a separate bowl whisk the milk, butter, vanilla, and egg.
  • Combine the wet and dry ingredients and stir until just moistened.
  • Pour half of the batter into your waffle iron and bake until golden and crispy.
  • While the waffles are cooking, slice and pan saute two Bourbon Apple sausages and cook four eggs, any style. Top each waffle with sliced sausage, two eggs, chili sauce, and maple syrup. Garnish with fresh parsley.
