Spanish Rice Sausage Skillet

A quick Spanish-style beans & rice with Gilbert’s Craft Sausages

Ingredients

  • 2 Gilbert’s Craft Sausages
  • 2 cups Cooked Rice
  • 1/2 can (~7.5 oz) Black Beans
  • 1/2 can (~7.5 oz) Diced Tomatoes with Green Chilies
  • 1/2 can (~3 oz) Tomato paste
  • 1/2 Yellow Onion, diced
  • 1/2 Green Bell Pepper, diced
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Cumin, ground

Instructions

  • Preheat a seasoned skillet or pot with 1 tsp olive oil on medium-high.
  • Add onions, peppers and garlic to skillet. Heat until onions are translucent, then coat mix with cumin.
  • Slice sausages into 1/2″ pieces, add to skillet. Heat until browning, tossing occasionally.
  • Add cooked rice, beans, tomatoes and tomato paste. Stir to evenly coat.
  • Heat 2-3 minutes until warmed evenly.
