20 Minute Honey Rice and Chicken Sausage Skillet
With just a few simple ingredients you can get this tropical rice dish on the table in minutes!

Ingredients
- 3- 4 cups cooked rice of choice
- A few drizzles olive oil
- 1 package Gilbert's Aloha Chicken Sausages (coined as shown)
- 1 small pineapple
- 2- 3 tbsp butter (divided)
- 4 scallions (divided; more or less as desired)
- a few drizzles of honey and parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Cook rice per package instructions. Remove from heat, fluff with fork and set aside.
- Next, heat a few drizzles of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add in coined sausages and sauté until lightly browned on both sides.
- While sausages cook, cut pineapple into small chunks/cubes or small strips and set aside. Also, thinly slice scallions and set aside.
- Once sausages are browned, remove from skillet. Then, with heat lowered to medium-low, add 1- 2 tbsp of butter to pan and carefully add in pineapple (cooking in batches as needed). Allow pineapple to brown as shown, then flip to other side, and repeat. Once done, remove from skillet and set aside.
- Next, add rice to pan with 1 tbsp butter. Stir over medium-low heat. Then add back in sausages, as well as honey, and parsley. Mix to incorporate.
- Serve immediately with cooked pineapple. Top with remaining scallions as desired. Yum!
