Slow Cooker Red Beans & Rice
Easy, healthy comfort food for your crockpot or Instant Pot.

Ingredients
- 4 Gilbert’s Andouille Chicken Sausages, sliced into 1/4 inch pieces
- 1 lb dried red beans or kidney beans, rinsed
- 6 c low sodium chicken broth
- 3 stalks celery, diced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jalapeño, seeds removed, minced
- 2 tsp creole seasoning blend
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 tsp Worcestershire
- salt/pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Add all ingredients into a crockpot (minus salt) and cook on high heat for 6 hours or until beans are cooked through.
- Adjust salt/pepper to taste. (Mine didn't need any salt b/c of the amount of salt in the creole seasoning and broth - this will vary depending on what you use!)
- Serve over cooked rice. Top with green onion and hot sauce. Enjoy!
