Caprese Choripan
A quick & easy version of a popular South American street food
Ingredients
- 4 Gilbert’s Caprese Chicken Sausages, grilled
- French bread, cut to (4) 6" rolls, split, buttered and grilled
- 1/2 bunch Parsley, finely chopped
- 1/2 Onion, diced
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- 2 tbsp Red wine vinegar
- 2 tbsp Olive oil (omit for low-fat version)
- Salt, red pepper flake and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Mix chimichurri ingredients (everything but sausage and bread)
- Butter and lightly grill bread
- Grill sausages
- Serve hot!
- Optional – top with salsa, avocado, grilled peppers or anything else you might put on a taco
