Caprese Sausage Tortellini

This quick, easy pasta is the perfect use for our Caprese Chicken Sausages.

  • 1, 9 oz package tortellini
  • 1, 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cup spinach, roughly chopped
  • 1 package (4 links) Gilbert’s Caprese Chicken Sausages, sliced
  • 2 oz fresh low-fat mozzarella, diced

Yield: 4 servings

  1. Prepare tortellini according to package directions.
  2. In a large skillet heat tomato sauce, garlic, basil, oregano, and salt. Simmer for ~2 minutes.
  3. Fold spinach into the tomato sauce. It will begin to wilt and reduce in size as it is heated.
  4. Next, add prepared tortellini sausages, folding to evenly distribute. Cook until heated through.
  5. Top with mozzarella and enjoy!
