Craft Sausage Quesadilla
Quick & easy quesadillas make good use of your spare Gilbert’s
Ingredients
- Canola oil, as needed
- (2) 6-inch corn or flour tortillas
- 1/2 cup Pepper Jack cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup Black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 tablespoon Tomatoes, diced
- 2 tablespoons Bell peppers, cut into strips and sautéed
- 1 Gilbert’s Craft Sausage
Instructions
- Brush each tortilla with canola oil and lay tortillas oiled side down on work surface.
- Sprinkle one tortilla with ¼ cup Pepper Jack cheese. Layer black beans, tomatoes, and bell peppers on top of cheese.
- Slice sausage into ½ rounds. Layer rounds on top of other ingredients.
- Sprinkle with remaining ¼ cup cheese and place second tortilla on the top, oiled side up.
- Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Place quesadilla in the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 3 minutes.
- Carefully flip quesadilla and cook another 2 to 3 minutes, or until golden brown on the other side and heated through.
- Cut into quarters and serve with sour cream, guacamole, and/or salsa.
