“Everything” Puff Pastry Sausages

Bagel dogs are back!

Ingredients
  • 4 Gilbert’s Smoked Gouda Chicken Sausage, cut in half lengthwise
  • 1 sheet puff pastry dough, thawed
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • everything bagel seasoning
  • dijon mustard
  • dipping sauces such as cheese, mustard, etc.
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Roll out the puff pastry dough into a rectangle and cut into 8 equal pieces.
  2. Brush a little bit of mustard onto the center of each piece of dough and place a piece of sausage on top. Fold the dough over the top of the sausage so that it just overlaps. Brush a little bit of egg where the dough meets, to help seal the seam. Place the sausage on the baking sheet and repeat with all the remaining pieces.
  3. Brush the dough with the beaten egg and sprinkle with the everything bagel seasoning - use as much or as little as you'd like.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes, until the dough is golden brown and flakey. Serve with dipping sauce of choice. Enjoy!
