Chicken Sausage & Green Chili Cheese Dip

Ingredients

  • 4 Gilbert’s Smoked Gouda Chicken Sausages, diced
  • 2 8oz blocks of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 c mayo
  • 2 c shredded cheddar cheese, divided with 1/2 c reserved for topping
  • 1 4oz can diced green chilies
  • 1 15oz can fire-roasted diced tomatoes, drained well
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375F. Spray a medium baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
  2. Spray a large skillet with cooking spray and add diced sausage. Cook, stirring often, until golden brown and crispy, ~5-6 minutes. (You can skip this step if you’d like but I love the extra flavor from browning the sausage + the texture from getting it a little crispy.)
  3. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Stir until well combined. Spread into baking dish and top with the 1/2 c reserved cheese.
  4. Bake 30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Allow to sit at least 5 minutes before serving. Serve with tortilla chips, fresh veggies, pretzels, pita chips, toasted bread – whatever sounds good! Enjoy!
